The History of the Celts: Who were they? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=car0aQ7ezAU
This video is intended to be a glossary of the ‘flavours’ of Celt that people bring up both in academia and in paganism. —- Hello! A couple of disclaimers: Whilst I do always try to get my pronunciation accurate, please don’t use me as a pronunciation guide. I don’t have a good ear for sounds. Because of the pace of the video, I didn’t go into the history of England and Ireland, which may seem like an oversight. In truth, it’s such a complex issue I want to do a full video on it eventually. —- Special thanks: I would like to thank Torannán for editing the script. They’re a fantastic artist who does gorgeous Gealic Polythistic art. Check them out here: https://www.instagram.com/forfeda/ and/or https://www.forfeda.com/ Anything good is their influence, and all the convoluted chaos and mistakes are entirely mine. —- Bibliography: ‘Exploring the world of the Celts’ by Simon James ‘The Celts: Search for a Civilization’ by Alice Roberts ‘The Historical Atlas of the Celtic World’ by John Haywood ‘The Ancient Celts’ by Barry Cunnliffe ‘The Atlantic Celts’ by Simon James — Maps: Map of language distribution drawn after a map in ‘The Ancient Celts’ by Barry Cunnliffe, 2018 Map of Gaul from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaul Other maps drawn based on maps in: ‘The Historical Atlas of the Celtic World’ by John Haywood
