a picture of a building

I might look alone in this first photo, I wasn’t, there were many hands on my shoulder. I have never been part of a more magical team, supported by the most amazing people; at work by the superb Military and Civil Service planning team in Horse Guards and the London Military Operations Centre and a whole raft of hugely professional and impressive organisations, friends and colleagues. If I listed them I’d miss someone out, but you know who you are from all over Defence.
At home by my amazing family; Sue has ran around London and Windsor at all times of the day with sandwiches, flasks, sleeping bags, phone chargers, clean shirts, you name it - she deserves a medal. Flinty has worked around the clock, drove a thousand miles and Lisa Amer has devotedly looked after JackJack.
The BBC were and always are incredible, it’s so good to have dear friends in this organisation.
It's been an incredible 11 days, the outcome of which was the dignified last journey of Her Majesty by her Armed Forces, incredible people.
I have been inundated with supportive messages, too many to reply to, please don’t think I am being ignorant, I am humbled, thank you for your support.
